The Gambian Youths Organization soccer team emerged in 2004 when a handful of GYO players such as Saikou Demba, Abass Jallow, Saine Jarju, Lamin Ceesay, Lamin Konteh, Lamin Kassama, Bakary Ceesay, Lamin Ceesay, Kawsu Minteh, Musa Keita and more came to form what would later be one of the most competitive soccer team in the country.
